Brookie Cookie

The verdict: Yummy and Healthy!

What is a Brookie? It’s a combination of a brownie and a cookie, typically chocolate chip on a chocolate brownie. Can’t go wrong there!

To make these I used 2 teaspoons of Hungryroot’s refrigerated Black Bean Brownie batter, pressed down slightly with my spoon, and filled the indent with 1 teaspoon of their Almond Chickpea Cookie dough. I baked for about 15 minutes around 365 degrees, and devoured immediately after a brief cooling off period!

Instead of traditional cookies, dough and batter from Hungryroot are made without any white flour or white sugars in the ingredients. Lately, Hungryroot cookies (Oatmeal Raisin!) have become my favorite less-guilty treat, as I’m trying to be more aware of what I eat.
